William Bruns

William Bruns, 63, Lynnwood, WA, formerly of Wahpeton, ND passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Swedish Medical Center, Edmonds, WA. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 13, at 11:00 AM at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton with Reverend Morris J. Stephens, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Stirum, ND. Arrangements are entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

William E. Bruns was born July 21, 1949 at Breckenridge, MN, the son of Vincent and Ione (Brummond) Bruns. He grew up and attended school in Oakes, graduating from Oakes High School. He attended NDSCS in Wahpeton before entering the US Air Force in January of 1970 until April of 1972.

He was united in marriage to Gloria Wolfgram on May 31, 1975 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton. The couple lived in Wahpeton where they raised their two sons; William worked for Primewood Mfct. Gloria passed away on November 21, 1995. William continued to live in Wahpeton until moving to Lynnwood, WA in 2008 to be near his son Andrew.

William enjoyed reading, especially novels written by Stephen King.

William is survived by his two sons; Andrew Bruns, Bothell, WA; and Jeffrey (Darcy) Bruns, Wahpeton; three grandchildren, Grayson, Delaney, and Brinley; two sisters, Carol Eman, CA; and Jane (David) Melroe, Edina, MN;

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Gloria and sister, Jennifer.
