Wayne T. Aigner, 70, formerly of Wolverton, MN, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012, at Four Seasons Health Care Center, Forman, ND.
Wayne, son of Phil and Beatrice (Carlson) Aigner, was born in Fargo, ND, on March 27, 1942. He grew up on his family's farm near Wolverton, MN. He loved farming and became involved with daily chores at a very young age. His grade school years were spent in Wolverton. He attended high school in Breckenridge, MN, and graduated in 1960.
Wayne married Jean Pelvit on August 25, 1962 in Breckenridge and they lived and farmed near Wolverton, MN where they raised their two children. He later made his home in rural Christine, ND where he married Ginny Olson in 1996. Wayne entered Four Seasons Health Care Center in 2008 where he has since resided.
Wayne spent many years participating in competitive tractor pulls. He was an excellent mechanic and welder and restored antique tractors and cars. He was a member of the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Association and Back Road Rodders Car Club. His other interests included snowmobiling, hunting, and following car racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by a brother, Paul (Paula) Aigner, a son, Michael (Sara) Aigner, Colfax, ND; a daughter, Stacy (Steve) Haverland, also Colfax; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ava Aigner, and Grant and Sydney Haverland, and a step-son Mike Olson, Detroit Lakes, MN; and step-daughter Christine (Nate) Ost , Fargo; three nieces, and three nephews.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Wolverton, MN.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, Faith Lutheran Church, Wolverton, MN.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, Faith Lutheran Church, Wolverton, MN, with visitation one hour prior.
