Theresa Nordick

Theresa C. Nordick, 80, Breckenridge , MN , died Friday, November 14, 2008 at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge , MN . The Funeral Mass will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 17, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Breckenridge , MN , with Rev. Kenneth Popp as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday, November 16, from 5 PM to 7 PM with a 7 PM prayer vigil at Willow Creek Chapel ( 920 3 ^rd Ave. N. ) Wahpeton; and one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Mooreton , ND . Vertin-Munson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Theresa was born June 4, 1928 at rural Mooreton , ND , the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Poss) Althoff. Theresa lived and attended school in Ibsen Township , near Mooreton. She was united in marriage to Warren Nordick on September 10, 1953 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Mooreton. The couple farmed near Kent , MN , until 1956, when they moved to Mooreton and continued farming until 1990, when they retired. In October 1999, they moved to Breckenridge. Warren passed away February 2, 2001; Theresa continued to live in Breckenridge.

Theresa was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a former member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Mooreton. She belonged to the Christian Mothers and Mooreton Robert Bergman American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed her acquaintances at the Mooreton Birthday Club, Northern Grill coffee group and Coffee, Tea and Grief Group. Theresa enjoyed spending time with her family, was an avid gardener, loved music and enjoyed her pets.

Theresa is survived by six children: Jean (Ken) Krump, Wahpeton; Wayne (Lisa) Nordick, Battle Lake, MN; Steve Nordick (Jane Honer and children, Heide and Travis Martin family, Mike and Jenn Hauschild family, Courtney and Ethan Ehlert family), Wahpeton; Beth (Kevin) Sondreal, Reynolds, ND; Kari Nordick, and (significant other, Brian Uhlich and children, Monique and Andy Gregor family, Nicole Uhlich and Justin Uhlich), Wahpeton; Loran (Sharla) Nordick, Mooreton; 15 grandchildren: Lindsay (Brian) Polda, Neely Nordick-Malme, Brian (Trisha) Nordick, Cody Nordick, Tonya (Brad) Abel, Ben Nordick, Tyler Nordick, Keaton, Courtney, Cameron, Cullen and Kirbie Sondreal, Keira Oscarson, (Fiance’Benny Eback), Logan (Heidi) Oscarson, and Zachary Nordick; 10 great grandchildren: Kennedy Polda, Sicily and Sawyer Malme, Landen and London Nordick, Peyton Foertsch, Laiken David, Aubree, Shae, and Brenyn Abel; her brother Harold (Jane) Althoff, Mooreton; her sister Alice (Raymond) Miranowski, Kent, MN; her sister-in-law Mary Ann Althoff, Foxhome, MN and several nieces and nephews.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Warren, her son Brian, two brothers, Alfred and Norbert Althoff and three sisters: Catherine Lugert, Agnes Terfehr, and Bernadette Rick.
