Thelma O. Lee, 91, Breckenridge, MN, formerly Colfax, ND, was called to her heavenly home, Sunday, July 31, 2011 at St. Francis Nursing Home, Breckenridge, MN. The Funeral Service will be Friday, August 5, 10:30 a.m., at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Colfax, ND. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5 PM to 8 PM with a 7 PM Prayer Service at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton and one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery, Colfax, ND.

Thelma was born December 23, 1919, in Fargo, ND, the daughter of Harold and Alma (Heglie) Bolstad. She grew up in rural Colfax and graduated from Colfax High School. She worked for Dr. Long in Fargo as a housekeeper and moved to Minneapolis where she worked at an ammunitions factory. She was united in marriage to Clayton Lee on July 28, 1944 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in Viking Township and near Dwight, ND, before purchasing the Bolstad Farmstead on January of 1949. In 1996 they moved into Colfax. Clayton passed away April 24, 1999; Thelma moved to Abercrombie and Wahpeton where she resided until May 2007 when she entered St. Francis Nursing Home, Breckenridge, MN.

Thelma was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, AlCW, and was a former 4-H Leader. She enjoyed Senior Citizens, Sons of Norway and loved to cook and entertain.

Thelma is survived by her son and three daughters: Gary (June) Lee, Walcott, ND; Catherine (Charles) Cartier, Williston, ND; Janet (John) Clinton, Ham Lake, MN, Susan Hoffarth, Grand Forks, ND; 13 grandchildren, Darrin (Dianne) Lee, Ryan (Alexia) Lee, Sara Lee, Elizabeth (Zane) Hamiel; Valarie (Steve) Hutcherson, Jason (Hope) Hogan; Bradley (Michelle) Clinton, Douglas Clinton, Heather Clinton; David (Kay) Hoffarth, Scott Hoffarth, Alex Hoffarth, Paula (Shawn) Willette, 19 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clayton, an infant granddaughter, her son-in-law, James Hogan, four brothers, Hollis, Oliver, Henry and Newman Bolstad, three sisters: Irene Kurtz, Evelyn Skjonsby and Clarice Peterson.
