Terry Sand

Terry Sand, 54, Wahpeton, ND died unexpectedly on December 25, 2010 at his home in Wahpeton. The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Willow Creek Chapel (920 3rd Avenue North) Wahpeton, North Dakota. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00-2:00 P.M. also at the Willow Creek Chapel. Inurnment will be held in the spring at Litchville, North Dakota.

Terry Allen Sand was born on December 6, 1956 in Fargo, North Dakota to Lowell and Alice (Heckman) Sand. He attended schools in the Valley City and Litchville areas. He farmed in Litchville, ND until 1998. He was a self taught and self employed mechanic his entire life. He married Pam Vagle in 1979 and to this union three children were born.
He moved to Davenport, ND in 1999 and lived there until 2009 when he moved to Wahpeton; where he has since resided.

Terry was a car enthusiast, rode motorcycles, enjoyed music, fishing, aquariums, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his three children; Jodi Sand and Ashley Sand, both of Wahpeton, ND and his son Bryan Sand of Dickinson, ND; his mother, Alice Sand, Wahpeton, ND, special friend, Judy Steffens and her children Jordan and Jade and three grandchildren, Caitlynne Sand, Maysenn and Madisyn McGraw and his brothers; Lonnie Sand, Tim (Tammy) Sand and their son, Jimmy Jackson and Greg Sand.. He was preceded in death by his father Lowell Sand in 1998, and grandparents, Blanche and Roy Sand and Emily and William Heckman.
