Terry Lappe

Terry A. Lappe, 63, Wahpeton, ND, died Monday, May 26, 2008 at her home under the care of Riveredge Hospice. A memorial prayer service will be held Friday May 30, at 5:00 PM at Willow Creek Chapel (920 3rd Ave. N.) Wahpeton, with visitation with the family from 4 PM until the time of the service. A memorial funeral service will be held in Brookings, SD, Friday, June 6, 1:00 PM at First Lutheran Church, Brookings, SD.



Terry Ann Lappe was born February 3, 1945 at Huron, SD, the daughter of Carl L. and Irene (Miesner) Jorgenson. Terry attended Huron schools and graduated from Huron High School in 1963. Terry was united in marriage on August 21, 1965 to Donald E. Lappe. Terry spent most of her time working in the medical field; three years at Huron Hospital and twenty-seven years for Brookings Hospital. The family moved to Wahpeton in 1999, where Terry worked for Wahpeton School System and currently was working for Breckenridge, MN school system.



Terry was a member of Brookings Art Festival Committee. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved spending summers at Lake Poinsett, SD.



Terry is survived by her husband Don Lappe, Wahpeton; her daughter Kimberly (Ritch) Dieger, Sioux Falls, SD; her son Bret Lappe, Sioux Falls, SD; three grand daughters: Catlin Dieger, Rachal Dieger, and Tayra Lappe.



She was preceded in death by parents, and her brother, Dennis Jorgenson.



Memorials may be given to Riveredge Hospice, Breckenridge, MN.
