Stanley
was born on April 9, 1928 to Melvin and Minnie (Jensen) Fluto in
Mantador
,
ND
.
He grew up and attended school in
Wyndmere
,
ND
.
On April 5, 1946 he entered the US Army and served during the WWII reconstruction at the
Philippines
and
Okinawa
.
He received his honorable discharge and returned to Wyndmere.
On June 11, 1948 he was united in marriage to Dolores Krause.
For twenty five years,
Stanley
managed grain elevators around the area.
He then went to work for Dry-Mor Industries in
Alexandria
,
MN
until he owned Dakota Crop Drying Systems in
Devils Lake
,
ND
.
His last employment was with EEE Inc. as a grain dryer salesman.
In their later years, Stanley and Dolores spent summers at
Otter
Tail
Lake
and winters at
Lake Havasu City
,
AZ.
Stanley
was a lifetime member of the Barney VFW Memorial Post No. 9366 and the Disabled American Veterans.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking care of his yard, gardening and watching western movies and sports, especially the Vikings and the Twins.
Stanley
loved family get-togethers with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren especially during the Fourth of July.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dolores, Hickson, ND; his children, Cheryl McQuade, Fargo, ND, Gary Fluto, Lidgerwood, ND, David Fluto, Reiles Acres, ND, Paul (Mary) Fluto, Hawley, MN, Brian (Tammy) Fluto, Bemidji, MN, Bradley Fluto, Hickson, ND, Tim Fluto, Alexandria, MN, Marsha (Randy) Sayre, Alexandria, MN, Deborah Roth-Hall, Littleton, CO; his 18 grandchildren; his 18 great-granchildren; his three sisters, Marion Hausauer, Lake Havasu City, AZ, Yvonne (Charles) Link, Georgia, Karen (Dennis) Zimmer, Sun Lakes, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant daughter, Jennifer; and his brother, Richard Fluto.
