after a courageous three year battle with cancer. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at
Bethel
Lutheran
Church
, Wahpeton, with Rev.
Kathryn Rothman officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service in
Bethel
Lutheran
Church
, Wahpeton; also, Tuesday one hour before the service at the church. Interment will take place at
Fairview

later in the spring.
Sandra Kay Bedford was born July 13, 1949 at
Fargo
,
North Dakota
, the daughter of Carl and Ruth (Evensen) Larson. She grew up in
Binford
,
ND
, where she graduated from
Binford
High School
in 1967 and her Associate Degree from
Valley
City
Teachers College
. She worked for Farmers Union Insurance in
Jamestown
and then Overvolds Motors in
Fargo
. It was Overvolds where she met her future husband Keith Bedford; they where united in marriage on August 8, 1970. They lived in
Denver
,
CO
before moving to
Lisbon
,
ND
. The family moved to
Moorhead
,
MN
where Sandra worked for Van Osdel, Foss, & Miller Law Firm. In 1984 the family moved to Wahpeton, ND, where she started working at NDSCS and for Richel’s and Easley Accounting. In 1995 she started work at
Bethel
Lutheran
Church
in the office where she has continued to work.
Sandra was a member of
Bethel
Lutheran
Church
and enjoyed working in her garden, doing crafts, needlepoint and attending the fine arts in the twin towns. She was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan, watching many of their games on TV and enjoying them in person at
Chicago
and
Minneapolis
. She enjoyed watching her son play baseball and basketball and in recent years spent as much time with her daughter Susan and her grandchildren as time would allow. She always had her zoo pass to attend with Nicholas, Abigail and Haley and had been vacationing last week with her family at
Disneyworld
; a trip that been in the planning for several years.
Sandra is survived by her husband Keith Bedford, Wahpeton; her son Jason Bedford, and his child Haley, Moorhead, MN; her daughter, Susan (Ryan) Bronson, and their children Nicholas and Abigail, Wahpeton; her brother, Dwight Larson, Wolf Point, MT; and her sister Cheryl (Bill) Rickford, Binford, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
