Rosemary Bergman, 81, Wahpeton, ND, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at St. Catherine?s Living Center, Wahpeton. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 at St. John?s Catholic Church, Wahpeton with Rev. Dale Lagodinski as celebrant. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service at the Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton; also, visitation Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Rosemary was born May 14, 1927, at Kranzburg, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Marie (Ruhr) Lenzmeier. Rose graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1945. She married Leslie Bergman on June 2, 1950 at Wahpeton. The couple lived in Wahpeton where Les worked for Otter Tail Power Company and Rose worked at Linn Harris CafAC., National Tea, The Vets Club, Vertin?s Furniture Drapery Shop as a seamstress, and McDonald?s as a Hostess. Her husband Leslie died on December 28, 1990. Rose retired in 2005.
She was a member of St. John?s Catholic Church, Eucharistic Minister, VFW Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary.
She enjoyed cross stitching, bowling, crossword puzzles, cards, and sewing.
Rose is survived by her 5 sisters, Leone (Dennis) Medenwaldt, Wahpeton, Audrea Lenzmeier, Wahpeton, Juanita (Howard) Steen, Starbuck, MN, Muriel (Roger) Olson, Tulsa, OK, Ellyn Thompson, Wahpeton; 4 brothers, Dennis (JoAnn) Lenzmeier, Fargo, ND, Ralph Lenzmeier, Payson, AZ, Robert (Connie) Lenzmeier, Medina, MN, Terry (Gayle) Lenzmeier, Gladstone, MO; 2 sisters-in-law, Hattie Lenzmeier, Wahpeton, Rose Lenzmeier, Columbia Heights, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie, December 28, 1990; her 5brothers, Luverne ?Bud?, Harold, William, John, Douglas; and 2 infant brother and sister, Frank C. and Shiela.
