Roger D. Quamme

Roger Dale Quamme, 88, of Galchutt, ND passed away on Thursday December 22, 2022, at Edgewood Vista in Fargo, ND. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home in Wahpeton, ND at 10:00 am, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am. Arrangements are in the care of Vertin-Munson Funeral Home.

Roger was a graduate of the 1953 class at Galchutt High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1954 through 1955. He worked as a farmer before beginning his long career in construction and grading county roads until his retirement at the age of 80. He was a longtime member of the American Legion and spent his time mowing lawns at the baseball diamond and around town. He enjoyed his daily coffee with friends at the elevator.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Josie Quamme; brothers, Harvey, Quentin, Ralph, Hollis, and Raymond Quamme; sisters, Doris Lugert, Thelma Smith, Shirley Lensch, and Carmen Bertling.
