Roger Miller

Roger E. Miller, 90, of Lisbon, ND passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Oakes Community Hospital in Oakes, ND. A Memorial Service will be held at Galchutt Lutheran Church in Galchutt, ND at 10 AM on Thursday, September 12, 2024, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Janelle Hansen will officiate. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery near Galchutt. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vertin Munson Funeral Home. 

Roger was born on March 22, 1934, to Ed and Florence Miller and grew up in Appleton, MN. During his school years, he enjoyed playing football and had a knack for humor. After graduating high school, Roger enlisted in the military and proudly served during the Korean War. In 1953, he proposed to Joan Anderson, and they married later that year in December. Shortly after, they moved to Fort Wayne, IN. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Roger and Joan relocated to Inner Grove Heights, MN.

Roger worked at Brown and Bigelow during the time when they welcomed their daughter, Julie, and later their son, Jeffrey. The family moved frequently throughout his career, enjoying the opportunity to meet and connect with many new people. Roger had a deep love for his family and made it a priority to attend all their events. His greatest joy came from his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Above all, Roger's greatest love was for his Lord and Savior.
