Paul was born September 16, 1929 at Bertrand, MO, the son of Ercy Earl and Mary Velda (Alley) Ferrell. As a child he moved to Charleston, MO, where he graduated from High School. He attended college as a math major at South East Missouri State University at Cape Girardeau, MO, and upon graduating, entered the US Air Force. In 1951 he was stationed in Wahpeton, ND. While stationed in Wahpeton, he met and later married Beverly Funfar on February 21, 1952 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton. The couple have been longtime residents of Wahpeton where they owned and operated "Fashions from Ferrella�(TM)s" and "Ferrella�(TM)s Hallmark"; Paul also traveled in sales for 35 years.
Paul was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was an avid golfer; he enjoyed playing cards, morning coffee club with the guys, and most of all spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by his wife, Beverly, Wahpeton; three sons: Mike (Cheryl) Ferrell, Wahpeton; Mark (Michelle) Ferrell, Fargo; Steven Ferrell, Escondido, CA; one daughter, Jane (Erik) Forgaard, Faribault, MN; nine grandchildren: Dallas (Jessi) Ferrell, Dustin (Sarah) Ferrell, Dylan Ferrell, Andrew Ferrell, Paul C. Ferrell, Ryan Forgaard, Aaron Forgaard, Cole Brooks and Abby Brooks; three great grandchildren: Evan Ferrell, Sophie Ferrell and Logan Carrow; his sister, Jeanne Elliott, Louisville, KY; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers: Galen, Bartley, Delmar, Marvin, Harry "Doc", Tom, and Earl; and his sister, Mary Louise.
