Pamela Quamme

August 24, 1952 — August 27, 2013

Pamela G. Quamme, 61, Wahpeton, ND, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge, MN. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton. Visitation will be Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM with a 7 PM Prayer Service at Bethel Lutheran Church. There also will be visitation one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Dwight, ND. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pam was born August 24, 1952 at Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of Warren and Dorothy (Schmidt) Doberstein. She grew up in Wahpeton, attending school and graduating from Wahpeton High School in 1970. She attended NDSU in Fargo, ND. Pam worked in the banking industry for many years, more recently working at Wal-Mart in Wahpeton.

Pam married Brian Quamme on January 25, 1992. They made their home in Wahpeton.

Pam was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton. She was strong in her Christian faith and very active in the Via de Cristo community. Her hobbies were quilting, knitting, fishing and horses.

Pam is survived by her husband, Brian, Wahpeton; her daughters: Sasha (Dennis) Loock, Omaha, NE; McKenzie Bakken, Fargo; Ayla Bakken, Kansas City, MO; Breanna Quamme, West Fargo, ND; son, Adam(fiancée Erika Johnson) Quamme, Clear Lake, MN ; her grandchildren: Tyler, William, Harper, Peyton, Braxton, and Aleck; her brothers, Mike (Dar) Doberstein, and Ted Doberstein; step-mother, Darleen Doberstein; step-sisters, Machelle Ellingson, Patti Bosworth, Kristi (Rick) Ford, Velvet (Pat) Link, step-brothers: Daniel (Carol) Winter and Scott Winter.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Doberstein and Dorothy Doberstein, her father and mother-in-law, Andrew and Josephine Quamme.

Pam was very thankful to all of her friends who came to visit, took her to medical appointments, brought food and had her in their thoughts and prayers. The family also wishes to thank Riveredge Hospice for their kindness, compassion, caring and support
