Opal Kuruc

Opal was born February 6, 1919 near McLeod, ND, the daughter of Carl and Inga (Wickoren) Dybdahl. She grew up in McLeod and married Joseph Kuruc at Mooreton, ND. They farmed in Richland County and moved into Wahpeton in 1947. Joseph passed away July 22, 1969 and Opal continued to reside in Wahpeton.
Opal is survived by her two daughters and three sons: Pat (Leslie) Renschler, Minneapolis, MN, Rita Ellison, Fargo, ND; Terry Kuruc, Mark Kuruc, and Kim Kuruc, all of Wahpeton; her sister, Adeline Severson, Breckenridge, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph; her grandson, Dave Renschler; her brother, Morris Dybdahl; and her sister, Mavis Dybdahl.
