MayDelle Malme

MayDelle LaVonne Malme was born on May 12, 1929 at Hawley, MN to Selmer and Veronica (Hunt) Luckason. She attended school in Hawley and graduated from Hawley High School in 1947. She then attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND. On June 26, 1949 she married Jubert Malme at Hawley. Jubert was in the United States Army and after his discharge the couple moved to Wahpeton, ND to farm in 1956. Jubert died on November 30, 2007 and MayDelle continued to reside on their home farm.

MayDelle was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Dwight, ND, served as a Sunday school teacher, Faith Lutheran Choir and Quilting Guild, Christian Women's Luncheon Group and her Birthday Club. She kept very busy with ministry of sending others cards and flowers and weekly volunteering with Health Resources Center in Fergus Falls. She especially enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Mitch (Janet) Malme, and children, Justin (Savannah) and Melanie, Fargo, ND, Paulette (Larry) Kutzler, and children, Tanner and Kelsey, Minneapolis, MN, Joy (Daniel) Sunram, and daughter Emily, Audubon, MN, Jay Malme, and children, Sicily, Sawyer, Cade and Avery, Wahpeton, ND; her sister, Mrs. Dorothy Holland, Barnesville, MN, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jubert in 2007 and her siblings, Thomas Luckason and Bernice Wang.
