Mary Breuer

April 8, 1920 — December 8, 2011

Mary Ann was born April 8, 1920 near Mantador, ND, to Emil and Josephine (Hedrick) Pelzl. She grew up on the family farm in Mantador and graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1938. Mary Ann married Bernard Breuer on October 19, 1948 and moved to Antelope Township where they farmed. In 1960 they moved to Mooreton, ND where they raised their family; moving to Wahpeton in 1969, where she has continued to reside.

Mary Ann worked for North Dakota state School of Science for 17 years until retiring in 1986.

She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Wahpeton. She was a active member of the Guild of the Catholic Order of Fore4sters. Earlier in her life she served as a CCD teacher and Director for St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Mooreton.

Mary Ann is survived by her two daughters and three sons: Mary Lou (Paul) Heitkamp, Wyndmere, ND; Ruth (Tom) Zaeske, Fargo, ND; Dale (Elizabeth) Breuer, Lake Ozark, MO; Duane (Helen) Breuer, Hubertus, WI; Donald (Colleen) Breuer, Fargo, ND; Grandchildren: Mark Breuer, Matt (Kelly) Breuer, Michelle Breuer, Fiancé, Bryan Harvey, Jacquline (Jason) Noll, Jody (Dusty) LeClair, Lori (Erik) Odegaard, Lindsey (Matt) Stenson, Joel Heitkamp, and special friend Natalia Ginsbach, Brianne Zaeske, and Cole Zaeske; eleven great grandchildren: Noah, Isabella and Live Breuer, Kayla Breuer, Lyla and Brewer Nolle, Jace Stenson and many family and fiends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, her parents, Emil and Josephine Pelzl, her brothers, Clarence George and Edward Pelzl.
