Mark Ritten, 60, Wyndmere, ND died on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Sanford Healthcare in Fargo, ND.
Fargo, ND. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 30 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Wyndmere, ND at 10:30 A.M. Visitation will be on Monday also at the church from.
5:00-8:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service. There will also be visitation at the church Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 A.M. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Wyndmere, ND.

Mark Francis Ritten, the second of five children of Marvin Francis and Violet Marie (Klaman) Ritten, was born on September 11, 1952 at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge, MN. He was brought home to the family farm near Wyndmere, ND. As a child, some of Mark's chores included picking eggs, milking cows, separating cream, feeding pigs, planting crops and haying. Upon graduating from Wyndmere High School in 1970 Mark attended North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, ND; graduating with a degree in Business Administration. He has been farming and ranching full time since he bought his first piece of land in 1972.

Mark was united in marriage to Sharon Eisenmenger on August 7, 1982 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Wyndmere. They made their home west of Wyndmere in West End Township where they worked with his parents, Marvin and Violet until their passing. For many years Mark raised replacement heifers. He took great pride in his fields and his Charlois Cross Beef cattle; he lovingly termed his breed "Rainbow Genetics."

Mark is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters Miranda (Jordan) Wyum, Katrina (Shawn) Urbach, Alyssa (Carlos) Acosta and Samantha Ritten; grandchildren Colton and Clay Wyum, and soon to arrive Baby Acosta; sisters Deborah (Curtis) Schubert, Mary (Joel) Halvorson, Rose (Dan) Dotzenrod; stepmother-in-law Mildred Clemons Eisenmenger; brothers and sisters-in-law Lynette (Joe) Spanbaeur, Marie (Mark) Langer, DelRose (Harold) Jones, John (Joyce) Eisenmenger, Linda Schwitalla, Kevin Eisenmenger and Loren (Crystal) Eisenmenger; stepbrother-in-law Les (Duc) Clemons and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Violet Ritten, a brother Simon Jerome Ritten, mother and father-in-law Orville and Nora (Rohlik) Eisenmenger; brother-in-law Dale Schwitalla and his niece Melinda Schubert.
