Lucille Muehler

January 3, 1920 — June 26, 2013

Lucille A. Muehler, 93, rural Fairmount, ND, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton, ND. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 2, 1:30 PM at First English Lutheran Church, Fairmount, with Rev. Anthony Ahrendt officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5 PM to 7 PM with a 7 PM Prayer Service at Willow Creek Chapel Wahpeton, and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Fairmount. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lucille was born January 3, 1920 to Joseph and Christina Pazdernik. She was the youngest of seven children. Lucille attended country school south of Breckenridge, MN. She was united in marriage to Melvin Muehler on October 20, 1949. They made their home and farmed west of Fairmount. Lucille worked alongside Melvin and also raised Chinchillas, chickens, ducks and sold Stanley products. Melvin passed away December 4, 2009, Lucille moved to St. Catherine's Living Center in 2011.

Lucille a member of First English Lutheran Church, Fairmount, ND and was active in the Ladies Aid. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them about farm life. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and fishing. She loved The Lord and talked of Him to all who would listen.

Lucille is survived by her son Richard (Gloria) Pazdernik, Breckenridge, MN; her daughter, Shirley Finken, Sauk Center, MN; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin, six siblings.
