Loren Hegseth

Loren Hegseth, 66, of Wyndmere, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family. His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Zion Global Methodist Church, 6475 165th Ave SE, Walcott, ND, beginning at 11 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. 

Loren Jerome Hegseth was born on October 20, 1958, in Breckenridge, MN, to Lars and Alma (Breden) Hegseth. He was baptized and confirmed at United Free Lutheran Church near McLeod, ND. He attended elementary school, junior high and graduated from Wyndmere High School in 1977. Loren started farming in the 8th grade with 17 acres that he rented from his uncle and then proceeded to take over the family farm after graduation. 

 He was united in marriage to his loving wife of 26 years, Tammy (Haugen), and they resided on the family farm near Wyndmere, ND, where they raised their four children. Even up to Loren’s last days, he still managed to call the boys and his brother to make sure harvest was running up to his standards. Loren spent his later winter years in Queen Creek, AZ. Through everything Loren had gone through, he still managed to keep everyone laughing and smiling with his humor. 

 Loren is survived by his wife, Tammy; children Brandon, Brooklynn, Bret, and Brock; Granddaughter Gracelynn; brother Larry, Wyndmere, ND; and sisters Lois (Dave) Hoover, Starkweather, ND; Lila Gabbard, Manchester, TN; and Leanne (Robert) Osgood, Parker, CO; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Loren was preceded in death by his loving parents, Lars and Alma; his brother-in-law Max Gabbard; and his niece Kari Hoover. 

 The family of Loren would like to thank the Essentia Health and Hospice staff who took care of him during his time of need.
