Lois Cleone Price, age 98, of Tucson, AZ, and formerly of Duluth MN, and Wyndmere, ND, passed away on Saturday, November 2, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tucson, AZ.  Her Funeral service will be on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 3:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home in Wahpeton.  Burial will be in Homestead Cemetery, Rural Wyndmere, ND.  Pastor René Hasbargen will officiate.

Lois is survived by her sons, Dan (Patty) Price, Tim (Debby) Price, John (Susan) Price, and Tom (Maureen) Price; grandchildren Joe Price, Sarah (Jason) Stoddard, Peter Price, Michael Price, Matthew Price, Mirissa (Rick) Price-Paris, Arianna Price, and Christina Price; great-grandchildren Parker Stoddard, Austin Stoddard, and Lucas Price. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald D. Price, her parents Peter O. and Blanch E Lillestol, and her brother Philip Lillestol.

Lois was born in Wyndmere, North Dakota on October 17, 1926. She graduated from Wyndmere High School in 1944 and went on to graduate from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing, Duluth, MN, in 1947. She was a proud member of the Army Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II. Lois was a Registered Nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital, where she served her community for 42 years.

On September 26, 1948, Lois married the love of her life, Donald D. Price, at the Homestead Lutheran Church in Wyndmere. They were married for 42 years, until Donald’s passing in April of 1991.

Lois was devout in her faith and most recently attended Tanque Verde Lutheran Church in Tucson. Prior to that, Lois and Donald attended Zion Lutheran Church in Duluth.

To Lois, her family meant everything. She enjoyed her friends, reading, and was a sports enthusiast. Lois would cheer on all her home-state teams in North Dakota and Minnesota. When she moved to Arizona, she became a devoted fan of the University of Arizona.

Lois was caring and thoughtful and will be missed by so many.
