Linda Sass

Linda Kaye Sass, 60, Wahpeton, ND died unexpectedly at her home in Wahpeton on Monday, July 20, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 24 at 2:00 P.M. at the Willow Creek Chapel in Wahpeton with Rev. Jule' Ballinger officiating. There will be visitation with the family from 1:00-2:00 P.M.

Linda Kaye Sass was born on January 21, 1955 in Hettinger, ND the daughter of Eugene and Marlene (Miller) Sass. She attended School in Hettinger, graduating in May of 1973. Linda attended the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, graduating with a degree in graphic design. After college she moved back to Hettinger and worked at a print shop in Dickinson, ND. In May of 1982 she married Raymond Valleen. Although the marriage did not last, she was blessed with her only child, Summer. They moved to Wahpeton in 1989, Linda currently was working at Wahpeton Armed Forces Reserve Center.

Linda was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She was always willing to help out anyone in need. Her special joy in life was her grandson Jonathan and granddaughter, Kennedy.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Summer (Kelly) Kristianson and her grandchildren, Jonathan and Kennedy; all of Fargo, her mother, Marlene Sass, Hettinger, ND, her sister, Tamera (Barbara) Sass, Ft. Collins, CO; brother, David Sass, Breckenridge, MN; and nephew, Matt (Jenny) Sass of Texas and many friends, including her best friend Kathy Richels.

She was preceded in death by her father Eugene Sass and a brother, Robert Sass.
