Leonard Haman

Leonard Haman was born on August 12, 1929 in Rugby, North Dakota to Frank and Mary (Schmaltz) Haman. He attended local school graduating from Rugby High School in 1947.
Leonard farmed with his father for several years. From 1957 until 1979 he worked for the Collins Construction Company, Fargo, ND as a motor grader for road construction. He traveled with them over the tri state area. On June 30, 1972 he married Lillian "Dicki" Berseth at Pierre, SD. The couple and her family moved to Bismarck, ND where Leonard started the Haman Landscaping Company. They spent the next 19 years running the company and became very involved in their church activities at St. Anne's parish. Leonard retired in 2005. In 2010 the couple moved to Wahpeton, ND to be closer to family.

Leonard is survived by his wife Lillian "Dicki" Haman, Wahpeton, ND his children, Susan (Craig) Caspers, Wahpeton, ND, Scott (Terry) Berseth, Detroit Lakes, MN, Shelly (Michael) Behrendt, Prior Lake, MN, Sheila Gunderson, Ft. Collins, CO and Steven (Marit) Haman, Fargo, ND., thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, brothers, Mike (Agnes) Haman, Devils Lake, ND, Alfred (Bernie) Haman, Bismarck, ND and David Haman, Minot, ND; sisters, Agnes Duchscherer, Drake, ND, Leona Van Norman, Billings, MT, Frances (Edward) Braunagel, Bismarck, ND and a very special Godchild, Renae Braunagel Smith, Bismarck, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, August and Daniel and his sisters; Eva and Magdeline.
