Kaila Martin

Kaila Alexia Martin, 3, Wahpeton, ND, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 20, 2018 at CHI St. Francis Health, Breckenridge, MN. The Funeral Service will be 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 26, at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND, with Rev. Patrick Parks officiating. Visitation will be from 6 PM to until the time of service. Arrangements are entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Kaila Alexia Martin was born October 5, 2014 in Tacoma, WA. To her family, Kaila was known as “Punky”, for her spunky approach to everything. She liked to be queen of the household but also always wanted everyone to be peaceable. Shortly after being born she was diagnosed with Hischsprungs Disease and had surgery to help her adjust. It was during this time she showed her family about love, patience and strength. Although quiet she still expressed the way life is supposed to be; all about family. She taught how to be with one another and never to let special moments pass.

Kaila’s favorite food was pizza and she loved feeding ducks at Chahinkapa Park. Just like her sunny personality, she loved daffodils and playing outside in the grass. Although Kaila only lived to be 3, her family is thankful she is enjoying every bit of heaven with Grandma and Great Grandma.

Carrying on Kaila’s sunny personality is her father,  Kori Martin and  mother, Janet Pint; her siblings: Shaun Pint, D’Adjane Martin, Janel Cooper, Kori Martin Jr., Jacquelyn Martin, Devone Cooper and Terrance Martin; a grandmother, Janel Milton.
