Joseph Morin

Joe was born February 23, 1936, at Belcourt, ND, the son of Alex and RoseAnn (Charette) Morin. He grew up in Belcourt and graduated from High School at Stephan, SD. He attended trade school at Haskell, KS and later learned sheet and metal trade at San Francisco, CA, where he worked for several years. He later worked building the missile silos in northern North Dakota before moving to Wahpeton 1969. Joe married Cindy Sauter on April 13, 1985 in Wahpeton. He worked for Rick's Electric, and from 1986 to 1997 he worked with Circle of Nations in Wahpeton. He most recently worked for Primeboard in Wahpeton.

Joe enjoyed watching football, especially the San Francisco 49ers; he also enjoyed bowling, golf, and cards.

Joe is survived by his wife Cindy, Wahpeton; their son Brent (Christina Paquin) Morin, Wahpeton; his son Scott (Aldena) LaFountaine, Belcourt; his three daughters: Jolene, Belcourt, Barbara and Donna, Fargo; seven grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters: Don (Franky) Morin, Belcourt; Ruth Blue, Belcourt; Betty (Dick) Bernard, Dothan, AL; Geri (Louie) Dauphinais, Belcourt; Louise (Clint) Juaire, Mooreton, ND; Linus Morin, Belcourt; Bonnie (Brian) Oliver, Canton, IL; and a special family member, Catherine (Dan) Belgarde, Belcourt.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and RoseAnn, a brother, Melvin and three infant siblings: Violet, Patty and Danny.
