JoAnn Solberg

JoAnn was born September 26, 1938 in Breckenridge, MN, to Hugo and Evelyn (Ruud) Frisk. She grew up at McLeod, ND, where she attended elementary school and attended Girls State. JoAnn graduated as valedictorian from Wyndmere High School in 1956. She attended Dakota Business College and worked at the Cass County ASCS Office for 17 years. She married Arthur B. Solberg on December 28, 1973 and moved to the farm by Wyndmere, where they retired in 2002.

JoAnn and Art loved to travel; they had a timeshare in St. Augustine, FL for many years and also took trips to Hawaii, Panama Canal, California, Canada, Egypt, Norway and Europe.

JoAnn enjoyed reading, gardening, cleaning (not so much), hunting, fishing, photography, bowling, shopping. She was a member of Wyndmere Lutheran Church. She served on the WLC council, Sunday school teacher, WELCA. She was Clerk Treasurer for Wyndmere Township for many years and served on several Wyndmere High School reunion committees. She also was a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant for 15 years. She was a fundraiser for the American Caner Society and a regular blood donor.

JoAnn is survived by her husband, Art, children: Sandi Luthi, Fargo, ND; and Barbara (Tom) Sondreal, Crookston, MN; and two grandchildren, Victoria and Cole Sondreal; her brother, Howard (Jan) Frisk and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
