Jeanette (Ziegelman) Pratt, 98, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, passed away November 27, 2024, at Harbor Crossing, her forever home for the past 6 ½ years. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton, ND, with Pastor Matthew Tooman officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton, ND. Pallbearers will be grandsons Nick Pratt, Steven Joswiak, Zachary Pratt, and Justin Pratt. Honorary pallbearers are her remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeanette Adela Ziegelman (Pratt) was born September 5, 1926, to August and Ida (Gast) Ziegelman in Summit Township, ND. She was baptized on September 26, 1926, by Pastor Hinck at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Great Bend, ND. She was confirmed on May 19, 1940, by Pastor Rengstorf at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Great Bend, ND. She attended school in Brandenburg (Great Bend) Township, ND. She moved to Wahpeton at age 18 beginning work at Kelly’s and Veda’s Steak Houses followed by the Elks Club for 32 years and Prante’s Supper Club for 5 years. She was a lifelong waitress and loved by her customers. She chose to retire from Prante’s following the historic 1997 Red River Valley flood. She was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, ND, and belonged to the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League for many years and helped several pastors decide on hymns for the worship services.

Jeanette married Wendell Scott Pratt on September 5, 1948, in a double ceremony with her sister, Arlene, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, ND, followed by a reception at her family farm in Great Bend, ND. Her mother prepared the meal. They resided in Wahpeton, ND. Jeanette relocated to White Bear Lake, MN, in June 2018, to be nearer to several of her children.

Jeanette firmly believed that the Bible is the Word of God. She rested in the promise that her eternal salvation was provided by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Jeanette is survived by sons Michael (Judy Andel) Pratt of Grand Island, Florida, Barry (Sherry Kiewel) Pratt of Wyoming, MN, and Kevin (Peggy Kressin) Pratt of Richville, MN; daughters Paula (Paul) Wyman of Eden Prairie, MN, and Carol Joswiak of Vadnais Heights, MN; 10 grandchildren: Ericka (Drew) Storley, Stephanie Wanna, Heather (Tim) Sundal, Jesse Pratt, Nick Pratt, Steven Joswiak, Ashley (Adam) Forestier, Kristen Joswiak, Zachary Pratt, and Justin (Rachel) Pratt; 11 great grandchildren: Mishaila Bowman, Thane Storley, Caitlyn Storley, Jordan Storley, Madeline Sundal, Jack Hoenshell, Ephrem Sundal, Declan Wyman, Briggs Pratt, Sutton Pratt, and Madden Pratt; and many nieces and nephews.
