Janice M. Richardson, 56, Lidgerwood , ND , died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Golden Living Center , Moorhead , MN under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley . The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 2 at First Baptist Church , Breckenridge , MN with Rev. Cripe officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service at the Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton; also, visitation Wednesday one hour prior to the time of the service at the church. Interment will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery , rural Ada , Minnesota .

Janice Marie Richardson was born August 9, 1951, to Walter and Frances (Hopp) Paul. She graduated from Fertile, MN High School in 1969. She graduated from the University of Minnesota , Crookston with an Associates Degree in 1971. On November 4, 1972, she married Clayton Rawhouser at Beltrami , MN . She and her husband were in the dairy business until 1994. She earned her commercial driver’s license (CDL) and was employed as a commercial truck driver from 1994 until 2000. Janice was employed at St. Catherine’s Living Center , Wahpeton and St. Gerard’s Nursing Home, Hankinson , ND from 2000 until 2006. Janice was an active member of the First Baptist Church and was one of the founders of the Women’s Jail Ministry for Richland/Wilkin Counties. Some of her hobbies were genealogy, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Janice is survived by her 2 daughters, Theresa (Dayton) Gehler, Fargo, ND and Christel (Eric) Thorsell, Fargo; 2 grandsons, Damien and Quinn Gehler; 2 sisters, Barbara Bustamonte, Moorhead, Sandra (Kevin) Boe, Felton, MN; 1 brother, Warren (Kathy) Paul, Beltrami, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her grandparents, Emil and Hilda Hopp and Bernard and Wiheminia Paul.

Memorial are asked to be given to the American Cancer Society or the Roger Maris Cancer Center , Fargo , ND
