Janet Dohse

Janet Dohse, 70, of Wahpeton, ND passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 surrounded by her family at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton. Her funeral mass will be 3:00 pm, Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church, Wahpeton, with Father Dale Lagodinski officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Wahpeton. Visitation and a Rosary will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Janet Ann (Kielb) Dohse was born on March 5, 1945 in Wahpeton to Andrew and Angeline (Lugert) Kielb. She grew up and attended school in Wahpeton, graduating from Wahpeton High School in 1963. She later enrolled in the secretarial program at North Dakota State School of Science.
Janet was united in marriage to Raymond Michael Dohse on August 10, 1968 in Waukesha, WI, and resided in the Milwaukee area until 2013. She worked as a secretary at Allis Chalmers and held many other positions, employed by Industrial Towel and Uniform in New Berlin, WI for over 25 years before her retirement.
Rick and Janet were blessed with two daughters, one son, and seven grandchildren. Rick passed away in 1984 and Jan remained in West Allis, WI raising her family and spoiling her grandchildren.
Jan loved to search thrift stores and "garbage" sales looking for the ultimate bargain. She enjoyed crafting and watching the Green Bay Packers. No one appreciated basking in the sun more than Jan. After her retirement, she cherished vacations to Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota and North Dakota to visit her large extended family.
Jan is survived by her daughters, Geri (Rick) Ailant and Lisa (Joe) Ojeda; her son, Scott (Jocelyn) Dohse; seven grandchildren, Randy, Derek, Kevin, Keilan, Jesse and Amanda, all of West Allis, WI. She is also survived by six brothers and three sisters, Eugene, Cave Creek, AZ, David (Kathleen), Cottage Grove, MN, Gregory (Claude), Malta, MT, Richard (Vicki), Wahpeton, John (Kathleen), Eden Prairie, MN, Kevin, Blaine, MN, Kathryn (John) Davis, Wahpeton, Diane (Jay) Littleton, Colorado Springs, CO, and Brenda (Tom) Moses, Detroit Lakes, MN; and a brother-in-law, Tom Meyer, Fargo, ND.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick, her parents, two sisters, Elizabeth Kielb and Mary Jo Meyer, and a grandson, Andrew Dohse.
Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, have been entrusted with the arrangements.
