Jacquelyn Hooten, a beloved mother and grandmother, left this world August 28, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on September 16, 1954, in Hankinson, North Dakota, Jacquelyn's life was full of love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit.

A loving and caring mother, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her sons, Shawn and Brock Jensen. Her nurturing spirit extended deeply into her role as a grandmother, where she embraced the joys of having Caleb and Faith Jensen in her life. Jacquelyn's generous nature and commitment to her family created an environment where love and warmth thrived.

Described as "quite the character," Jacquelyn had a personality that was full of surprises. She approached life with a remarkable “get after it” attitude, inspiring those around her to embrace life’s adventures in the same fashion. Her generous heart and zest for life made her a treasured friend, and she touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

In addition to her family, Jacquelyn found joy and companionship in her beloved cats, who were a source of comfort and happiness in her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Vivian (Simon) Hogness, who, undoubtedly, welcomed her with open arms. Jacquelyn Hooten will be missed profoundly by her family — Shawn, Brock, Caleb, and Faith — who carry her spirit in their hearts and will forever cherish the memories created together.

In remembering Jacquelyn, let us celebrate a life lived fully, a legacy defined by love, generosity, and the wonderful quirks that made her shine so brightly in our lives.

A private family and friends gathering will take place at a later date.
