Inez Moore

Inez Mae Moore was born on April 20, 1924 in Breckenridge, MN to Edward and Clara (Czichotzki) Buth. Inez was confirmed in 1939 at Christ Lutheran Church. She attended District 25 School in Barnesville, MN and graduated from Barnesville High School in 1943. She then began employment at the Red Owl Grocery Store in Breckenridge, MN. In 1944, she traveled with her sister, Lucille to Astoria, Oregon. Inez worked for both the Fish Cannery there and later the Pillsbury Flour Co. It was in Astoria that Inez met her husband of 54 years, Walter Moore. The couple married on January 26, 1946 in the Lutheran Service Chapel in Astoria. They moved to Oklahoma City, OK after Walta�(TM)s discharge from the Navy. In 1948, the couple returned to the Wahpeton/ Breckenridge area. Inez worked after her children were older; at the Sagness Variety Store in Breckenridge, and at Montgomery Wards, Bostwicks and Stevensons in Wahpeton. The couple purchased the Nielsen Electric Center in 1968, which they owned and operated until 1979. Walter died on August 20, 2000. Inez continued to make her home in Wahpeton.

Inez was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton, LWML and the Church Circle.

She will be greatly missed by her children; a son, Thomas (Janet) Moore, Wahpeton, ND, a daughter, Dianne Larson (Doug) Sayles, Chaska, MN, 4 grandchildren, Anna Busta, Bismarck, ND, McKayla Moore (John Mortenson), Wahpeton, ND, Aaron (Jody)
Larson, Ankeny, IA, and Andrew ( Lisa) Larson, Carver, MN.; 5 great grandchildren, Emily, Evan and Ella Larson and Hannah and Mark Larson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter, her sister, Lucille Mullin, and a son-in-law, Mark Larson in 1988.
