Harold Ness

Harold W. Ness, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at CHI St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge, MN, at the age of 88.

Harold was born on January 14, 1937. He attended country grade school and graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1955. He then attended North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton for one semester, after which he enlisted in the Navy for four years. He was stationed at Great Lakes, Norfolk, and Newfoundland.

On December 26, 1964, he married Carol Anderson. The couple lived on the home farm where Harold farmed, had a spray parts business, and also did upholstery. Harold had a private pilot’s license and he enjoyed flying his Cessna 182RG.

Harold is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol; brother, Ken (JoAnne) Ness; sisters, Lois Mae (Jim) Scherbenske, Judy (Don) Weiss, and Carol (Charles) Gutensohn; sister-in-law, Jan Hoekstra; brothers-in-law, John (Jean) Anderson, Paul (Pat) Anderson and Mark (Twyla) Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Selmer and Florence Ness; and his father and mother-in-law, Reuben and Leona Anderson.

No funeral services will be held.
