Frances Kreller

Frances V. Kreller, 99, Wahpeton, ND, formerly Bismarck, ND, passed away Thursday July 31, 2014, at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, August 13, 2:30 PM, at St. John's Catholic Church, Wahpeton. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck, ND on Thursday, August 14. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Frances was born July 15, 1915, in Fargo, ND. She was one of six children born to Edward and Alice (Prouty) Wagner. On June 21, 1933, she married Joseph (Joe) Kreller. Together they had four children: Dale, Doris, Karen and Robert.
Frances was a dedicated housewife, as well as a nurse's aide at ST. Alexius hospital in Bismarck. She was also employed at Conlin's Furniture store in Bismarck where she made draperies. She was a talented seamstress. Frances also enjoyed gardening, crocheting and cooking. She was well known for famous "kuchen" and home-made buns. All of her children and grandchildren have afghans or quilts made with Grandma's loving hands.
She was a member of St. John's parish in Wahpeton and a 50 year member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Frances is survived by her two daughters, Doris (Ron) Bruesch and Karen M. Kreller, Wahpeton, ND, daughters-in-law Karen R. Kreller, Las Vegas, NV, Betty Lou Kreller, Mansfield, LA, brother Duane (Fortune) Wagner, Moses Lake, WA, 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph (Joe), her parents, Edward and Alice (Prouty) Wagner, sons, Robert and Dale, three sisters and one brother.
In Lieu of flowers, family prefers memorials be made to donor's favorite charity.
