Frances Fatland

Frances was born on October 17, 1937 in rural Kindred, ND to Henry and Bertha (Gomoll) Breimon. She grew up and attended school in Walcott, ND. During her younger years she helped on the family farm. She was united in marriage in 1955 to Donald Fatland in Richland County, ND and made their home in Walcott. To this marriage two sons were born and Frances stayed home to care for them. She was also the bookkeeper for their business, Don's Service. In July of 2010 she became a resident of St. Francis Healthcare Campus in Breckenridge.

Frances was a longtime member of Walcott Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and playing games and cards with friends and family. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren.

Frances is survived by her two sons, Rickie (Janna) Fatland and Randy (Myrna) Fatland, both of Wahpeton; her three grandchildren, Aaron Fatland , Moorhead, MN; Daniel and Kimberly Fatland, both of Wahpeton; her siblings, Doris (Jack) Calvert, Knoxville, TN, Lucille (David) Garcia, Hayward, CA, Lorraine Barnes, Vadnais Heights, MN, Gene (Cheryl) Breimon, Issaquah, WA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bertha Breimon; her husband, Donald, on August 30, 1996; her brother, Harlan Breimon, and her sister, Marilyn Flaskerud.
