was born July 12, 1923 at

, the daughter of Fred and Inga (
Rustvang
) Hermunslie. She grew up in Abercrombie, where she graduated from high school. She attended
Valley
City
Teachers College
where she received her teaching certificate and taught for five years at Wolverton and
Kent
,
MN
. She was united in marriage to Maurice Myhre on November 20, 1948 at
Bethany
Lutheran
Church
, rural Abercrombie. They lived and farmed near Abercrombie, where they raised their children.
Florence
worked at the
Wahpeton
Rehab
Center
for several years.
After
Florence
’s stroke in 2002, she continued to live with grace, courage and dignity. She entered the Pelican Valley Nursing Home, Pelican Rapids, MN, in December of 2007. Maurice passed away February 23, 2009 and

moved to Minnesota Veteran’s Home,
Fergus Falls
,
MN
, in July of 2009.
Florence
was a member of
Bethany
Free
Lutheran
Church
, and was active in the Ladies Aid,
Dorcas
Society, taught Sunday school and was the church organist for several years. She enjoyed baking and sharing her baked goods with others. Her passion was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be remembered by those she touched as a precious and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Florence is survived by her five children: Mark (Pam) Myhre, Abercrombie; Gary (Denise) Myhre, Rugby, ND; Norma (Dennis)

, Alexandria, VA; Sandra (Rick)

, Hawley, MN; Earl (Vicki) Myhre, Abercrombie; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, her sister, Doris

, Pelican Rapids, MN; and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Hermunslie, Fargo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maurice, her grandson, Nicholas Myhre, her two brothers, Arnold Hermunslie and Harold and his wife Esther Hermunslie and , and her brother-in-law, Merle
