Everett “Bud” Thiele was born on November 3, 1926 in rural

to Walter and Mabel (Laboda) Thiele.
He was baptized in the
Evangelical

Brethren
Church
and was raised and attended school in
Brandenburg
Township
, near
Great Bend
.
Bud was united in marriage to Donna Gast on November 12, 1946 at
St. John’s
Lutheran
Church
near
Tyler
,
ND
.
Bud worked for Loll’s Implement and Grain as a cattle hauler until they moved to a farm north of Fairmount and farmed for several years.
They moved back to
Great Bend
when he began working on road construction for Schultz and Lindsey and then was employed with Tennefos Construction/Collin’s Concrete until 1981.
Bud then began working as a security guard for Minn-Dak Farmer’s Coop in Wahpeton until his retirement in 2001.
Bud was a member of
Trinity
Lutheran
Church
.
He enjoyed hunting with his “boys”, spending time outdoors, and was especially proud of his yard and garden.
In his earlier years, he had great times at
Otter
Tail
Lake
with his family and spent a lot of time helping his children in his retirement years.
Bud is survived by:
his wife, Donna, Great Bend, ND; his sons:
Larry (Sandy) Thiele, rural Wahpeton, Bruce (Merna) Thiele, rural Wahpeton, Randy (Elizabeth) Thiele, Great Bend; his grandchildren:
Carrie (Ty) Hanson, Chad Thiele, Carla Thiele, Jenny Brockberg, Troy Thiele, Stephanie (Dane) Holweger, Nicholas Thiele, Kayla Thiele, Trevor Thiele; ten great-grandchildren; his brothers:
Eldon Thiele, Wahpeton, ND, Noble “Johnny” (Patsy) Thiele, Mesa, AZ; his half-sisters:
Sandy Springer, Breckenridge, MN, Barb (Carrol) Kratcha, Great Bend, ND, Judy (George) Braun, Fargo, ND, Laurie Thiele, Fargo, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Linda Thiele; and his brother, Dennis (Ike) Thiele.
