Eugene Rogers

Eugene Rogers, 91, of Elizabeth, Minnesota passed on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.  Services will be held Monday, December 16, 2024, at 1 pm at New Life Church of God in Wahpeton, ND.  Pastor David Kuhfal will preside over the services. 

Eugene was a Korean War veteran, loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He accomplished what he so long desired, to be in the presence of Christ and reunited with his wife and his only love, Marilyn (Thymian) Rogers. 

Eugene, "Tibben" was a native of Minnesota and married Marilyn Thymian in 1955. Together they had 5 children- Gene Rogers, Colby, Kansas, Dean Rogers (Leanne) Minot, ND, Brian Rogers, (Stacy) Ormond Beach, FL, Rodney Rogers, Indianapolis, IN, Paula Honeycutt (Richard), Granville, ND. Tibben has 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He grew up hard, scrabble and independent. He had a fabled sense of humor and was an avid reader. In his latter years, he prioritized his dog and his family. 

Tibben is preceded in death by 10 of his siblings, Florence Kiser, Edith Peterson, Gertrude, "Gertie" Weldin, Maxine Monson, Chauncey Rogers, Erma "Dolly" Bradley, Lola "Peaches' Freitag, Ray Rogers, Alyce Shuster and Eileen "Jid" Wilprecht. His youngest brother, Forrest Rogers lives in Sparks, Nevada.
