Ella Larson

Ella C. Larson, 102, Wahpeton, ND, formerly Dwight, ND, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton, ND. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, August 31, 10:30 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, Dwight, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Willow Creek Chapel, Wahpeton and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be at Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Dwight. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ella was born September 26, 1908 in rural Dwight, ND, the daughter of Ole and Olava (Johnson) Knudson. She attended Dwight School and graduated from Wahpeton High School. She attended Mayville College where she received her teaching certificate.

Ella married Edwin Larson on March 8, 1930. To this union two daughters were born, Ardis and Sharon. They resided on the Larson family farm until 1961, when they retired and moved to Dwight. Ella resided in Dwight and rural Dwight for 102 years, entering St. Catherine's Living Center in December of 2010.

Ella was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Dwight, where she was an active member.

Ella is survived by her son-in-law, James (Shirley) Score; two grandsons: Donald Score and his fiancee Judy; David (Viola) Score; her granddaughter, Kathy (Brian Bietz) Score; two great grandchildren, Duane Score and Joseph (Katie) Score; Vaughan and Wendy Griffin family, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edwin, her two daughters, Ardis Score and Sharon Larson; a special granddaughter, Gina
