Dorothy Mindeman

Dorothy was born August 10, 1934, at Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of Adam and Clara (Nelson) Starin. She grew up in Wyndmere and graduated from Wyndmere High School. She was united in marriage to Elmer Mindeman on June 15, 1952 in Wyndmere. The couple resided near Barney where they farmed and raised their family. For many years they enjoyed their winters in Brownsville, TX.

Dorothy was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Barney where she was active in LWML. Her faith in Jesus was her strength and the most important aspect of her life. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, shuffleboard, and spending time with her family. She loved to play cards, especially whist and pinochle.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Elmer, Barney, ND; three sons: Craig (Jolette) Mindeman, Fargo, ND; Noel (Luann) Mindeman, Barney, ND; Trent (Dawn) Mindeman, Watford City, ND; nine grandchildren: Joshua (Abby), Noah, Matthew, Nathan, Kristin, Kari, Daryle, Nicole and Durant Mindeman; and her sister Donna Sell, Fargo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Eldon Starin, and her sister Doris Amerine.
