Dan Meyer

Dan was born on July 2, 1958 in Olathe, KS. He was raised in Breckenridge, MN by his parents Charles and Carol Meyer and attended Breckenridge High School where he participated in all sports and most enjoyed basketball. Dan worked for Walton Farms in Brookings, SD after his schooling.

Dan was united in marriage to Mary Beth Allmaras on October 12, 1979 at the Newman Center in Wahpeton. They lived in Grafton, ND where he worked for Swanson Farms. In 1986, they moved back to Wahpeton where Dan worked with his father at Meyer's Elevator Repair working on grain elevators. In 1988, Dan started working for Ro-Banks (now known as Flex TM) in Wahpeton, where he was currently working. Mary passed away on January 6, 2008 and Dan continued to live in Wahpeton.

Dan's main enjoyment in life was following his two sons in their activities, including football and wrestling. Everyone who met Dan loved him and he will be greatly missed.

Dan is survived by his sons, Danny (Elizabeth Freden) Meyer, Fargo, ND and Jeff Meyer, Fargo; his granddaughter, Harper; his mother, Carol Meyer, Breckenridge, MN; his siblings, Mike (Patty) Meyer, Perham, MN, Theresa Arend, Ashby, MN, Donna (John) Salvevold, Battle Lake, MN, Dallas (Kristi) Meyer, Ottertail, MN, April Meyer, Breckenridge; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Irene Allmaras, Sun City, AZ; his many nieces and nephews; and his special dog, Eddy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Beth Meyer; his father, Charles Meyer; and his two nephews, Ryan and Riley.

Memorials are preferred In lieu of flowers.
