Charles “Chuck, Chucky or Ed” Schiele was born December 18, 1950, in Minot, ND, to Veronica (Mosser) and Louis Schiele. He grew up in Drake, ND, and graduated from high school in 1968. Shortly after high school, he was drafted into the Army, serving for two years and four years in the Army Reserves. He received a National Defense Service Medal; Sharpshooter (rifle) from the Army.
After the service, he attended Bismarck Junior College and received an Associate Degree in Applied Science. He worked in construction for several years before starting his career with the railroad as a signal maintainer.
In his younger years, he liked to camp, fish, hunt and enjoyed dancing until his health wouldn’t allow it. He also enjoyed listening to a variety of music, especially John Prine. Chuck would get his daily exercise riding his red trike (that everyone knew so well) uptown to listen to his #1 playlist and socialize.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Pam; daughter, Danielle (Garret) and their children, Tate and Tylee; stepson, Jeremy and his children, Paitynn and Elijah; son, Shane, and his children, Duncan and Oliver; brothers, Allen (Darlene), Bennie (Judy), Daniel (Bonnie), Dennis (Jane), and Jerry (Bobbie); sisters, Donna, Vernatta, Ida (Arnie) and Kathy (Bill); sister-in-law, Stella; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Veronica; his brother, Ralph; and his sister, Michelle.
