Carol Arenstein

Carol Arenstein, 73, of Wahpeton, ND passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by her memorial service at 11:30 am at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Rev. Erika Buller will officiate. A Private, family burial will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton. Arrangements are entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Carol was born on November 10, 1942 to Roland "Gordy" and Caroline (Dronen) Oster in Fargo, ND. She grew up and attended school in the Fargo area, and graduated from Fargo High School. Carol married Richard Arenstein on June 3, 1968 in Las Vegas, NV. To this union, they were blessed with their son, Rick on April 3, 1971.

Carol will be remembered as a caring person who always put others before herself. She enjoyed golfing and bowling in her early years, and also enjoyed crocheting, where she was very involved in a crochet club. She took great pleasure in following her son around to his many sporting events over the years. But, Carol found her greatest joy in her grandchildren, and she always loved their visits throughout the years.

Carol is survived by her son, Rick (Misty) Arenstein, Wahpeton; her grandchildren, Erika, Beau, and Jazmine Arenstein, all of Wahpeton; and three sisters, Alane Selland, Bismarck, ND, Connie (Ron) Drescher, Albert Lea, MN, and Bonnie (Jack) Lind, Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard on May 30, 2016, and her parents, Roland and Caroline.
