Bruce Eichhorn

March 7, 1949 — May 13, 2011

Bruce was born March 7, 1949 in Breckenridge, MN, the son of LuVerne and Agnes (Goerdt) Eichhorn. He graduated from Hankinson High School in 1967 and attended NDSCS where he enrolled in Radio & TV and Refrigeration. He joined the North Dakota National Guard in 1971 and was honorably discharged in 1977. On July 17, 1971 he married Elizabeth Koschney in Geneso, ND. Bruce worked for LeRoy Berg and later did appliance repair for Sears, Caspers Furniture, Hinsverk's TV and Appliance and Nielsen Electric TV & Appliance Center, all of Wahpeton, ND. He also spent many hours and took great pride in raising cattle and hogs.
Bruce was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Bruce kept very busy with his appliance repair and raising cattle and hogs, but always had time for others. He especially enjoyed all the time spent with his grandchildren, whom meant the world to him. He enjoyed reading, especially westerns, including most of Louis L' Amour's books. He will be remembered by others for his friendly disposition, his stories, his smile and the time he took to visit and acknowledge others.

Bruce is survived by his three children: Sandra (John) Seedorf, Bismarck, ND; Kenneth Eichhorn and his girlfriend Laura Litton, rural Fairmount; Shane Eichhorn, rural Fairmount; two grandchildren, Courtney and Desirae Seedorf; including Laura's children, Cory, Beth, Dillon, Casey and Cole. He is survived also by his parents LuVerne and Agnes Eichhorn, Breckenridge; 4 brothers and 3 sisters: Larry (Diane) Eichhorn, Fargo; Susan (Clayton) Wieser, rural Fairmount; Diane (LaDale) Bontjes, Breckenridge; Teresa (Randy) Froshaug, Newtown, ND; Gary (Shelley) Eichhorn, Breckenridge; Alan (Karen) Eichhorn, Portland, ND; Paul (Joy) Eichhorn, Breckenridge and many nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents and his brother David.
