Bradley Michael Blom, 45, resident of Wahpeton, ND and proud supporter of the Dallas Cowboys. Sadly, for his circle of friends, coworkers and family, Brad made a decision to leave behind his emotional pain and was found on September 1, 2024.
Born in New Jersey on February 28, 1979, to Richard and Teresa (Gibbs) Blom. Brad was a courageous and unique child and friend that always kept you on your toes. He was passionate about cooking and being creative through life. In his early years he was curious and loved taking anything and everything apart to see how it worked. He wasn’t always great at putting it back together, but that wasn’t always the goal. What made the clock tick, how did the cassette player work, why can’t barbies heads go back on, and so on.
He moved to Bangor, PA as a teenager to live with his grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy (Ulmer) Gibbs. He attended Bangor Area High School until 11th grade when he chose to start working full time to support his son, Tyler. In 2004 after the passing of both grandparents, Brad decided it was time to come back to MN and ND to be with his family.
Around 2010 Brad met Nita Crawford and fell head over heels in love. Together they enjoyed many weekends at the lakes, late nights around the campfire, traveling and making endless memories. Nita’s family was everything Brad needed. He felt whole with them, and when Nita left us in 2021 all that came crashing down on him. No one is ever prepared to lose the love of your life.
Brad is preceded in death by his mother, Teresa L (Gibbs) Blom and is survived by his father, Richard L Blom, brothers, Richard J (Jen) Blom, Darren M (Brandi) Blom and sister, Emily M (Nate) Sherwood. His son, Tyler Anema. Along with many nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and an endless number of friends.
From our family to yours, Brad thanks you for the smiles and good times. We hope you have found peace, love and strength. Although he was never shy to share with you that you are loved, Brad was the one that needed to hear it the most.
“You may have this idea in your head that the only time you’re worthy of being loved is when you’re at your best. You’re still worthy of being loved when you’re at your lowest, you’re still worthy of being loved when you don’t want to go on anymore. You are still worthy of being loved even when you don’t love yourself. You are always worthy of being loved and do not fool yourself into thinking otherwise.”
