Bette Anne Dichraff was born on November 20, 1934, in Hanneford, North Dakota, to Robert and Elsie (Wunderlich) Nelson, where she grew up and attended school. She went on to marry Frederick Dichraff in Webster, South Dakota, on November 21, 1956. They were blessed with two children, John and Linda.
After Bette and Fritz were married, they made their home in Colfax, ND, where they farmed. She was very active within her church. In the late 1980’s, Bette decided to take on a new adventure as a seamstress for Sew What Monogramming in Fargo, ND. Even though Bette wasn’t a big sports fan, she helped produce the logo wear for the Bison football team.
Bette is survived by her son, John Dichraff; daughter, Linda (Brad) Horvath; grandson, Joshua Horvath; brother, Russel (Elouise) Nelson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elsie; husband, Frederick; sister, Ruby (Bill) Hook; brother, Robert (Rose) Nelson.
A burial will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2024, at Our Savior Cemetery, Colfax, ND. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND.
