Anna Stone

Anna M. Stone, 89, of rural Fairmount, ND, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020, at her home.  Visitation will be on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM followed by her funeral service at 5:00 PM at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home in Wahpeton, ND.  Rene Hasbargen will officiate the service.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home.

Anna Marie Radmer Stone was born on February 25, 1931, in Shields, ND, to Frank and Rachel (Drager) Radmer, she was one of eight children born to this union.  She attended school in Shields.  The family moved to Miles City, MT in 1941, where Anna worked for the 600 Café where she met John Stone, and they were married on July 3, 1955.  To this union, three sons, and one daughter were born.  Anna was very proud of her children. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, needlepoint, fishing, and hunting.

Anna is survived by her children, John (Kathy) Stone, Joliet, MT, Frank (Maggie) Stone, Huron, SD, and Mary (Kevin) Amundson, Fairmount, ND; nieces, Deb Perkins, Canyon City, CO and Jeannie (Mike) Huston, Miles City, MT; nephew, Fred McCown, Miles City; great-niece, Stephanie (Robert) Reid, Aurora, CO; great-great-nephew, Axl; grandsons, Miles (Melissa) Amundson, Goldbar, WA, Tony (Andrea) Amundson, Gaylord, MI, Tory (Amanda) Amundson, Fairmount, Derek Stone, Williston, ND and Wesley Stone, Lander, WY; and her great-great-grandchildren, Kailie, Jami, Lilly and Kevin Amundson, Fairmount.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stone; son, Wayne Stone; daughter-in-law, Kathy Stone; sister, Adeline McCown; and her brother, Dick Radmer.
