Agnes Kragness

July 10, 1922 — December 17, 2010

Agnes C. Kragness, 88, Wahpeton, ND, died Friday, December 17, at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 23, at 10:00 a.m., at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, with Rev. Jim Gustafson officiating. There will be visitation with the family one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Richland Lutheran Cemetery, rural Walcott, ND, at a later date.

Agnes Cornelia Foss, daughter of Andrew and Cornelia (Kalstad) Foss was born July 10, 1922 in Brinsmade, ND. Following graduation from Brinsmade High School, she moved to Fargo, ND; where she attended Business School and worked at Metropolitan Savings and Loan for twelve years. On December 26, 1953, she was united in marriage to Joseph Kragness at Minnewaukan, ND. They moved to California and were there ten years before moving to Wahpeton. When Joseph retired from the State College of Science in 1980, they moved to Big McDonald Lake, near Perham, MN. They moved to Fargo in 1989, thereafter living in Wahpeton. Joseph passed away November 17, 2010.

Agnes is survived by her son Duane (Reiko) Kragness, Wahpeton; and her daughter, Donna (Tom) Harlow, Thief River Falls, MN; five grandchildren: Sarah and Brooke Kragness, Tempe, AZ, Seth (Liz) Harlow, Omaha, NE; Janae (Nate) Halm, Crest Hill, IL; and Tanner (Kim) Harlow, Montrose, MN and; and one great-grandchild, Lydia Harlow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her grandson, Blake Kragness, her brother Richard and her sister, Marie Arnston.
