Adam Roy Campbell

**Graveside service for Adam will be held on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery in Hankinson, ND**

Adam Roy Campbell, 26, of Hankinson, ND, passed away December 24, 2022, at Sanford Medical Center on Broadway, surrounded by his loving family.  His visitation is scheduled at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home for December 29, 2022, from 5p.m. to 7p.m., with prayer service starting at 7p.m.  Adam’s funeral service will be at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11a.m. with visitation to continue one hour prior.  Father Dale Lagodinski will officiate. 

Adam Roy Campbell was born in Breckenridge, MN, on May 2, 1996, to Greg and Cheryl (Kassahn) Campbell.  He attended Hankinson High School, and grew up on a farm where he raised cattle.  Adam worked in the area for local farmers, but always had a dream to become a rancher.  He got a chance to live his ranching dreams by working at Schaff Angus Valley Ranch in St. Anthony, ND, and the D Lazy T Ranch in Faith, SD, at their annual bull sales. 

Adam loved everything associated with tractors and cows.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, orange Lindt Chocolates, fireworks, playing pinochle, and just being a conversationalist.  Adam was a talker, and it wasn’t hard for him to start a conversation with anyone.  Country music from all generations was always playing from his devices.  Most of all, he loved to teach his son about cattle auctions, raising baby calves, and to use the John Deere 4430 tractor to cut the hay fields. 

Most of all, Adam fought hard during his seven-month battle with ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Adam is survived by his son, William; daughter, Kinsley; parents, Greg Campbell, Breckenridge, MN, Cheryl Campbell, Wahpeton, ND, Jean and Phil Meyer, Hankinson, ND; siblings, Amanda Campbell, Breckenridge, MN, and Emily (Devin) Hanson, Wheaton, MN, Jessica (Cheryl) Meyer, Wahpeton, ND, Justin Meyer, Hankinson, ND; niece, Samantha Meyer; nephew, Brantley Campbell; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and all who called him friend.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donna and Roy “Soupie” Campbell, Bill and Delores Jordan, Virgil and Gerri Kassahn.
